flame-grilled Steaks, rotisserie chicken, and creative cocktails.
Firehouse is situated on the bustling cobbles of Fore Street in St Ives, Cornwall, just a stone’s throw away from the harbour.
Before you book…
-
We strictly do not accept bookings for over 6 people in the summer months. This is because we do not have tables bigger than 6 chairs, and we are simply too busy pre-assign bookings to specific tables. If you make multiple/duplicate bookings, they will be treated as separate bookings and there is absolutely no guarantee you’ll be sat near each other.
We cannot push tables together for Fire Safety reasons.
-
Children of all ages are welcome at Firehouse, and highchairs are available upon request - please be aware that our highchairs count as a regular chair (ie. If you are 3 adults and 1 highchair, that still counts as 4 guests in total). Baby-changing facilities can be found in our women’s washroom. Due to the narrow size of our restaurant, we discourage prams and pushchairs. Failure to include your children within the overall party size could result in us being unable to accommodate you.
-
We do allow well-behaved dogs on our ground floor. Please be aware there will very likely be other dogs in close proximity, so we do not recommend bringing dogs that are protective, loud, or anxious. Due to the narrow spaces between tables, we would only recommend bringing a singular dog, or two small dogs at most.
If you are bringing a dog, please use the Guest Requests feature in your OpenTable booking to let us know - this is to ensure you’re seated on the ground floor. Failure to let us know could result in us being unable to seat you.
-
Whilst we try and honour all Guest Requests in regards to seating preferences, we do work on a first-come-first-pick basis. Therefore, when you place your booking, regardless of your requests, you may be sat anywhere in the building.
-
We only have two Sea View (four-seater) Tables upstairs. Whilst we try and honour Guest Requests for these tables, we cannot guarantee you’ll be sat here. These tables are given on a first-come-first-pick basis.
-
If you have allergies or intolerances, please make us aware in your booking notes, or inform a staff member upon arrival. We do have all of our allergen information to hand whenever required, but we liked to stay informed and take extra care.
-
We heavily encourage booking with us, as we are typically booked and busy. If you are late for your booking by 15 minutes, your booking will be canceled. Bookings must be done via the button below (via OpenTable) - please do not call us to book, as we will likely be in the middle of service.
We do accept walk-ins, but we do not have tables specifically for walk-ins. We will only be able to seat you as a walk-in if it works around our bookings.
-
We do not take bookings for lunch, only in the evenings. Our lunch service starts from 12pm when we open, and we close our doors at 3pm. There is no separate lunch menu, it is the same as our evening menu.
-
Whilst we will do everything we can to help facilitate the visit of physically disabled individuals, it is worth noting that we have 2 flights of stairs - one to our upstairs floor, and one downstairs to our toilets. Our building does not have a disabled toilet. If your mobility is restricted, please request to be seated on our ground floor. Due to the narrow layout of our restaurant we cannot accommodate mobility scooters inside, but wheelchairs are absolutely fine.
-
We always welcome special occasions at Firehouse, such as Birthdays. However, it is worth noting that we do not provide table decorations, birthday cakes, candles, or dessert messages. If you wish to provide your own cake and decorations, we’re happy to prepare them.
Please be respectful of other diners.
-
All bookings are given 1 hour and 45 minutes of dining time. We have multiple bookings per night, and it is likely that we will require your table back for a future booking.
-
We have chairs at the bar specifically for drinkers, our tables are for diners only. We do not allow guests to stand at the bar as we have servers running hot food to tables. We kindly request that you don't book a table if you're just having drinks.
When booking your table please ensure you book the amount of chairs you require (including highchairs), not just the amount of adults attending.
